Terms of Service
These Terms of Service constitute a binding legal agreement between you and Wolf Analytics LLC. By accessing or using our platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms in their entirety. Please review them carefully before using any Wolf Analytics services.
Effective date: March 16, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing the Wolf Analytics dashboard, integrating our tracking snippet, or otherwise using any part of the Wolf Analytics platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all policies referenced herein, including our Privacy Policy. If you are entering into these terms on behalf of a company, organization, or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms, in which case “you” and “your” shall refer to that entity. If you do not agree to these terms, or if you do not have the authority to accept them on behalf of your organization, you must not access or use the Service. Your continued use of the Service following any modifications to these terms constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We recommend reviewing these terms periodically to stay informed of any updates that may affect your rights and obligations.
2. Service Description
Wolf Analytics is a software-as-a-service web analytics platform designed to provide privacy-conscious traffic measurement, user behavior insights, and conversion tracking for websites and web applications. The Service operates in two distinct privacy modes: GDPR mode, which hashes visitor IP addresses, reduces user-agent data to browser and operating system family, and excludes session replay and city-level geolocation; and International mode, which retains full IP addresses and user-agent strings and enables session replay, heatmaps, and detailed geographic data including city and coordinate information. The platform includes a real-time analytics dashboard, traffic source attribution, conversion scoring, Server-Sent Events for live updates, and project-scoped API key authentication for data ingestion. Wolf Analytics LLC reserves the right to modify, enhance, or discontinue features of the Service at any time, with reasonable notice provided for material changes that affect existing functionality.
3. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials, including your login email, password, JSON Web Token (JWT) access tokens, and project-level API keys. Each account is authenticated via JWT-based sessions, and you must not share, transfer, or expose your access tokens to unauthorized parties. Project API keys are scoped to individual analytics projects and must be treated as sensitive credentials; embedding them in client-side code is expected for data ingestion but you are responsible for ensuring that keys are used only for their intended purpose. You must promptly notify Wolf Analytics of any unauthorized access to your account or any suspected security breach. You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account, including actions taken by anyone to whom you have granted access. Wolf Analytics LLC shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your account credentials or API keys.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations. You shall not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise derive the source code of any part of the Wolf Analytics platform, including but not limited to the tracking snippet, backend API, or dashboard application. You may not resell, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or any data obtained through it without prior written consent from Wolf Analytics LLC. You shall not use the Service to transmit malicious code, conduct denial-of-service attacks, scrape or harvest data in an automated manner that degrades system performance, or interfere with the integrity or availability of the platform for other users. Any attempt to circumvent rate limits, abuse API endpoints, forge tracking payloads, or exploit vulnerabilities in the Service constitutes a material breach of these terms and may result in immediate account termination without notice or refund.
5. Data Ownership
You retain full ownership of all analytics data collected through your projects on the Wolf Analytics platform. This includes pageview records, event data, session recordings, heatmap interactions, conversion events, and any user identifiers submitted through the identify or conversion tracking endpoints. Wolf Analytics LLC acts solely as a data processor with respect to your analytics data, processing it on your behalf to provide the Service as described herein. We do not sell, rent, or share your analytics data with third parties for their own purposes. We may use aggregated, anonymized, and de-identified data that cannot reasonably be linked back to any individual or customer account for the purpose of improving the Service, generating benchmarks, or conducting internal research. Upon termination of your account, you may request an export of your data in a machine-readable format, subject to the data export provisions described in the Termination section below.
6. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how Wolf Analytics LLC collects, uses, stores, and protects information in connection with the Service. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference. Wolf Analytics is designed as a privacy-first platform and offers GDPR mode as a built-in mechanism for customers who require compliance with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation and similar data protection legislation. When operating in GDPR mode, the Service applies IP address hashing using SHA-256 with a configurable salt, reduces user-agent strings to browser and operating system family identifiers, disables session replay collection, and restricts geolocation to country and region level only. You are responsible for selecting the appropriate privacy mode for your jurisdiction and ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable data protection laws, including obtaining any necessary consents from your end users.
7. Payment Terms
Certain features and usage tiers of the Service require payment of fees. All payments are processed through Stripe, our third-party payment processor, and are subject to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy. Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly or annual cycle, as selected at the time of purchase, and fees are charged in advance at the beginning of each billing period. All fees are stated in United States dollars and are exclusive of any applicable taxes, levies, or duties, which you are responsible for paying. You agree to provide accurate and complete billing information and to keep your payment method current. If a payment fails, we may suspend access to paid features until the outstanding balance is resolved. Refunds are issued at the sole discretion of Wolf Analytics LLC and are generally not provided for partial billing periods or for unused portions of a subscription term. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and no prorated refunds will be issued for the remaining days in that period.
8. Service Availability
Wolf Analytics LLC targets a 99.9% uptime availability for the production analytics API and dashboard for customers on paid tiers. This target reflects our operational commitment but does not constitute a contractual service level agreement (SLA) with financial penalties or credits. Free-tier accounts are provided on an as-is, as-available basis with no uptime guarantee whatsoever. We may perform scheduled maintenance during low-traffic windows, typically between 02:00 and 06:00 UTC on weekdays, and will endeavor to provide advance notice of planned downtime through our status page or in-dashboard notifications. Wolf Analytics LLC shall not be liable for any interruptions, delays, or outages caused by factors beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to internet service provider failures, distributed denial-of-service attacks, natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, or failures of third-party infrastructure providers. In the event of extended unplanned downtime exceeding 24 consecutive hours for paid accounts, we will evaluate requests for billing credits on a case-by-case basis.
9. Intellectual Property
The Wolf Analytics platform, including all software, source code, APIs, tracking snippets, documentation, user interface designs, trademarks, logos, and other intellectual property embodied in or associated with the Service, is and shall remain the exclusive property of Wolf Analytics LLC. These Terms of Service grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service solely for your internal business purposes during the term of your subscription. You acquire no ownership rights in the Service or any underlying technology by virtue of these terms or your use of the platform. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved by Wolf Analytics LLC. Any feedback, suggestions, feature requests, or ideas you provide to Wolf Analytics regarding the Service may be used by us without restriction, attribution, or compensation to develop, improve, or market the platform. You retain ownership of your brand assets and content that you configure within the platform, such as project names and domain settings.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WOLF ANALYTICS LLC, ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY AND EVEN IF WOLF ANALYTICS LLC HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or related to these terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees you paid to Wolf Analytics LLC during the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred United States dollars ($100.00). This limitation of liability applies to the fullest extent permitted by law in the applicable jurisdiction and shall survive the termination or expiration of these terms. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Wolf Analytics LLC, its members, managers, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and legal costs) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your use of or access to the Service; (b) your violation of any provision of these Terms of Service; (c) your violation of any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right, including any intellectual property, privacy, or data protection right; (d) any data or content you transmit through the Service, including analytics data collected from your end users; or (e) any dispute between you and a third party relating to the Service. Wolf Analytics LLC reserves the right, at your expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter for which you are required to indemnify us, and you agree to cooperate with our defense of such claims. This indemnification obligation shall survive the termination of these terms and your use of the Service.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate these terms at any time. You may terminate your account by contacting us at [email protected] or through the account settings in the dashboard. Wolf Analytics LLC may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated any provision of these terms, engaged in fraudulent or abusive conduct, or failed to pay applicable fees after reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Wolf Analytics LLC will retain your analytics data for a period of thirty (30) calendar days following termination, during which you may request a complete export of your data in a standard machine-readable format such as CSV or JSON. After this thirty-day data export window, we reserve the right to permanently delete all data associated with your account, including project configurations, analytics records, session replays, and heatmap data. Termination does not relieve you of any obligation to pay fees incurred prior to the termination date.
13. Governing Law
These Terms of Service and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising under or relating to these terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located within the State of New Mexico, and you hereby irrevocably consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Wolf Analytics LLC retains the right to seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of our intellectual property rights, trade secrets, or confidential information. The prevailing party in any legal action shall be entitled to recover its reasonable attorneys' fees and costs from the non-prevailing party.
14. Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms of Service, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through informal good-faith negotiation. Either party may initiate the informal dispute resolution process by sending a written notice describing the nature of the dispute and the desired resolution to the other party by email. The parties shall use commercially reasonable efforts to resolve the dispute within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of such notice. If the dispute cannot be resolved through informal negotiation within that period, either party may pursue binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall be conducted by a single arbitrator in the State of New Mexico. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding on both parties and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction. Each party shall bear its own costs and attorneys' fees in connection with the arbitration, unless the arbitrator determines otherwise. You agree that any arbitration or legal proceeding shall be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class, consolidated, or representative action.
15. Changes to Terms
Wolf Analytics LLC reserves the right to modify, amend, or replace these Terms of Service at any time at our sole discretion. When we make changes, we will update the “Effective date” at the top of this page and, for material changes that substantially affect your rights or obligations, we will provide notice through the dashboard interface, by email to the address associated with your account, or through a prominent announcement on our website. Changes to these terms become effective immediately upon posting unless otherwise specified in the notice. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any revised terms constitutes your acceptance of and agreement to the updated terms. If you do not agree to the modified terms, you must discontinue your use of the Service and may terminate your account in accordance with the Termination section above. We encourage you to periodically review this page to stay informed of the current terms governing your use of Wolf Analytics. Prior versions of these terms may be available upon request by contacting our support team.
